Easter Rowing Club Regatta

Great atmosphere last Saturday at the Pandan Reservoir, hosting the end of the season Club Race appointment.

Crystal clear flat water for most of the event program, allowed our members to compete well and have fun on a fast 1k distance (970mt on GPS Metrics).

The fastest event has been the mixed double featuring our Olympian Aisyah and Simon from Uk (former winner of Henley Regatta) marking 3 minutes & 17 seconds against Suzanne and Steve (3:48).

Youth Single Sculls Races have seen a distinguished number of young athletes in different heats. The fastest time has been registered by Daan Van Brussels winning his heat in 3 min & 38 sec and the final in 3 min & 44 seconds, prevailing Arkash (3:53) Abell (3:57) & Matteo (3:58).

Fastest Single Scull event has been marked by Walter (3:37), winning a close race against past-national team rower Mayank, closing at 3:42.

Master races have seen close heats between Ben Hopkins winning against Steve after a slower start by inches (both 4:01) and Freddie (4:12) faster than Bharat (5:32).

Our female club quad composed by Aisyah, Suzanne, Lizzie & Louisemarked a great victory of 3:30 against the men squad scratched crew of Antonio, Josip, Ben & Matteo finishing in 3:46.

The last event of the day has seen the club double of Anibal L. & Walter winning a close neck&neck race in 3:19 prevailing Felix & Daan (3:21).

The rowers moved on after the event to the beautiful BBQ venue in Bukit Timah for an afternoon of great food, drinks and laughter.
